Ernest & Son Meat Market is an old-fashioned butcher shop in Brigantine, New Jersey, founded by Ernest Storino and his son Sam in 1977. Brigantine native Mel Cortellessa joined the shop in 1985 at just 13 years old as a cleanup helper and stock assistant. Over time, he developed a passion for the craft, learned the trade, and eventually purchased the business from Sam in 2007.
